Co-op Press Performing Partners Program
It is the mission of Co-op Press is to collaborate with performers for the advancement of art music by helping foster composer, performer and audience interaction. To achieve this end, Co-op Press has created a Performing Partners Program.
Benefits
• Performing Partners receive free pdf copies of any original compositions in the Co-op Press catalog for performance consideration.
• Performing Partners are eligible to host composer, Sy Brandon, for a residency at your location with little or no cost.
• Performing Partners can request Sy Brandon to rescore any of the music in our catalog to suit your needs and receive the customized version for free.
• Performing Partners receive free promotion on our website.
Eligibility
• All musicians living in the lower 48 states of the U.S. who perform regularly on college campuses and/or other venues typically licensed by ASCAP are invited to complete an application form. Selection is contingent upon the performer’s qualifications and the indication of his/her performance potential of compositions in this catalog as expressed in the application. Once approved, Performing Partners will be eligible to receive the benefits listed above.
Responsibilities
• Performing Partners are requested to send Co-op Press a copy of any programs that contain performances of music from our catalog within one month of the performance.
• If a residency with Sy Brandon is desired, Performing Partners should be willing to apply for a Met Life Creative Connections Grant from the Meet The Composer to assist with the cost of the residency. Efforts will be made to accommodate all requests, but are subject to Sy Brandon’s availability.
• Performing Partners will provide Co-op Press with a bio of no more than 100 words and a jpg photo for our Performing Partners web page.
• Performing Partners are asked to be an advocate of Co-op Press by sharing positive experiences verbally, via email, and or newsgroups with colleagues.

Michael Davidson
Michael Davidson is the trombone professor at the University of Kansas and principal trombonist of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra, the South Arkansas Symphony, and trombonist with the Kansas Brass Quintet, the I-49 Brass Quintet, and the LATEX Trombone Quartet. He has performed with the Kansas City Symphony, the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra USA, and in local performances with the Four Tops, Ray Charles, Johnny Mathis, Kathy Mattea, Emmylou Harris, Mel Tormé, Sandi Patty, John Tesh, and many others. He earned a B.Mus.Ed. degree from the University of Florida, an M.Ed. from Centenary College of Louisiana, and a D.M.A. in trombone performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. The Chamber Arts Trio
The Chamber Arts Brass Trio has been in residence at the University of Louisiana at Monroe Division of Music since 1971, and is comprised of current faculty members James Boldin, horn, Micah Everett, trombone, and Alex Noppe, trumpet. The group performs frequently, offering several on-campus concerts each year, as well as numerous concerts in the Northeast Louisiana community and beyond. The trio has been featured in performances in Monroe, West Monroe, Tallulah, and Baton Rouge, LA, and at schools in Pineville, Lake Charles, Lafayette, De Ridder, Ruston, Vidalia, and Winnfield, LA. Yasmin Flores
Dr. Yasmin A. Flores has performed as a soloist and chamber musician around the United States, and has premiered many new works that include clarinet. She received her Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, her Master of Music in Multiple Winds from Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida, and her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Iowa. Flores has performed with the Cedar Rapids Symphony Orchestra, the Ottumwa Symphony Orchestra, the Oskaloosa Symphony Orchestra, the Dubuque Symphony Orchestra, and the Sondheim Performing Arts Center. She joined the faculty of the University of North Alabama in 2010 where she teaches freshman music theory, clarinet, saxophone and bassoon. Click here to visit her website.
Ellie Jenkins
A native of coastal Georgia, Ellie Jenkins (horn) joined the faculty at Dalton State College in 2010. She is an active performer, playing principal horn in the Carroll Symphony, second horn with the Rome Symphony, and performing frequently with Chamber Players of the South. She has also appeared with the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra, and she toured Taiwan with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra in 2004. She has served on the faculties of the University of West Georgia, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Dr. Jenkins received her DMA from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and other degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the University of Miami. Her primary teachers are Douglas Hill, Barry Benjamin, Robert Elworthy, and Maribeth Crawford. She has appeared as a recitalist in Italy, Brazil, and at several Southeast Horn Workshops. The Ardente Duo
The Ardente Duo is comprised of flutist, Cassandra Rondinelli-Eisenreich and clarinetist, Danielle Woolery. Their collaboration started as doctoral students at the University of Miami where they were teaching assistants and Mancini Institute Fellows. The Ardente Duo has given recitals at the Florida Flute Association’s 34th and 35th State Conventions and the University of Miami. They have also lectured on the topic of chamber music and have been accepted to present at the College Music Society 54th National Conference this coming October. The duo has recently recorded their debut album, consisting of the flute and clarinet chamber works of Sy Brandon. Mrs. Rondinelli-Eisenreich is on faculty at Barry University where she serves as Lecturer of Flute and Eurhythmics and currently holds a position as an Instructor of Flute, Music Theory, and Eurhythmics at the University of Miami Frost School of Music Preparatory Program. She has performed regularly with the Florida Grand Opera and has performed and presented at the local, state, regional, national, and international levels. She performs regularly with clarinetist, Danielle Woolery as part of the Ardente Duo. Cassandra is currently a Flute Teaching Assistant and Mancini Fellow at the University of Miami Frost School of Music where she is working toward her D.M.A. in Flute Performance with an emphasis in Music Education. She has performed at the local, regional, national and international levels including performances at the International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest, the SEAMUS National Conference and the University of Oklahoma Clarinet Symposium. She recently received her DMA from the University of Miami where she was a clarinet teaching assistant and a Henry Mancini Institute Fellow. Dr. Woolery also holds degrees from Webster University and the University of North Texas. She is on faculty at the University of Miami Frost School of Music Preparatory Program where she teaches applied clarinet and music theory.
Andy Wen
Dr. Andy Wen is an assistant professor music at the University of Arkansas Little Rock, a Selmer Clinician, and former Treasurer of the North American Saxophone Alliance (1997-2001). He is listed three times in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, included in the second edition of Saxophonists and Their Music: 1844-2004 and was a featured Guest Artist in the Saxophone Journal in 2005. In conjunction with master classes at the Taiwan Cultural and Taiwan Normal Universities, Andy presented the first saxophone recital in the National Concert Hall in Taipei, Taiwan. He presented solo recitals at the Ninth, Eleventh, and Twelfth World Saxophone Congresses in, Japan, Spain, and Canada, respectively, and a quartet concert at the Ninth Congress. He was one of twelve Americans selected to present a lecture/recital at the Etats Generaux Mondiaux du Saxophone, held in France in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the invention of the saxophone. Kenyon Wilson
Kenyon Wilson is Associate Professor of Tuba/Euphonium at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Principal Tubist with the Tuscaloosa (AL) Symphony Orchestra and the Augusta (GA) Symphony Orchestra. He served as a Lecturing Fulbright Scholar at the Baku Music Academy in Azerbaijan and has authored articles for the International Tuba/Euphonium Association (ITEA) Journal. Dr. Wilson's compositions/arrangements are available on six albums, and he can be heard performing on three. His composition Kerfuffle was featured in the Arts section of the Wall Street Journal in April 2008, and his Songs of Distant Earth took third place in the 2011 International Trombone Festival Composition Contest sponsored by Bone Therapy. Evan Feldman
Dr. Evan Feldman serves as Conductor of the Wind Ensemble and Symphony Band, and Assistant Professor of Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also directs the Triangle Wind Ensemble and Greensboro Concert Band, and is Associate Conductor of the North Carolina Wind Orchestra. Dr. Feldman's arrangements and editions of music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, George Enescu, Antonin DvoĆák, and Sergei Prokofiev are published by Tierolff Muziekcentrale (Netherlands). Jason Laczkoski
Described by Eugene Rousseau as a “talented saxophonist,” Jason T. Laczkoski is an emerging young voice in Saxophone. He is active both as a performer and educator. He has presented numerous solo recitals and appeared at both the North American Saxophone Alliance Conferences and the Navy Saxophone Symposium. He has presented both masterclasses and clinics and is a frequent clinician at PMEA events. Jason is the instructor of saxophone at Lycoming College and maintains a private woodwind studio. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Mansfield University, a master’s degree at the University of Iowa and is currently completing the DMA degree from the University of Iowa. Jason‘s debut CD, Come Down Heavy! was released on the Emeritus Recordings label in November of 2011. Jason is a Yamaha Performing Artist and performs exclusively on Yamaha saxophones. Bret Pimentel
Woodwind artist Bret Pimentel is an emerging talent who is comfortable in a wide variety of musical settings. He is at home with the classical solo repertoire of the saxophone, flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon, as well as chamber and symphonic music, jazz, and rock and pop. In addition to the major modern woodwinds, he is skilled at a number of folk, ethnic, and period woodwinds. Bret’s varied career has included performances as a backing musician for Dave Brubeck, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the King’s Singers, and more. Bret currently teaches applied oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and saxophone at Delta State University, as well as chamber music, woodwind methods, and jazz courses. Click here to visit his website.
Todd Goranson
Dr. Todd Goranson is currently Associate Professor of Saxophone and Bassoon at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Goranson holds the DMA degree from West Virginia University, and the Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees from the University of Idaho. Goranson is in demand throughout the U.S. and internationally as a guest clinician. He is an active soloist, chamber and orchestral performer on both saxophone and bassoon, with performances at conferences for the IDRS, NASA, ICA, SMM Sommarmusikskola (Sweden), and World Saxophone Congress.
